Wedding styles – Brides have fallen for lace

From sweet veils to romantic gowns, and vintage decors: brides have fallen for lace!

Every Winter and Spring, metres of beautiful lace make an appearance on the catwalks of the world.

It  has been popular for over a hundred years, but never that glamorous. It is definitely trendy to say I DO with some lace on!

Romantic, sexy, classic, sophisticated, vintage or baby. Chantilly, macramé, rebrodé, in white and ivory with a pastel touch. Ornate and delicate: designers definitely know that lace is the perfect feminine touch.

Also very versatile, whilst lace is romantic in style, it can easily surprise you and turn into a something new.

Carefully mixed to make sure its not too much but also not to minimal. Choose soft colours, more towards pastels or vintage palette, like greens for more nostalgic themes or pinks and greys to evoke a vintage theme.

A very delicate and almost baby looking style this version from Chanel, sexy and romantic the one on the left by Valentino.

LACE IS ALSO the perfect choice for a vintage wedding DÉCOR: our brides know that we love it!

We love these lace table runner for your reception.

With Flowers you should go for very soft colours selection of wild flowers to reflect your theme. Consider using baby’s breath, orange blossoms, hydrangea, for example, and why not some fruit for an extra touch.

Ladies, the skirt is back! So let’s find the perfect gown: what’s more, you can have fun and mix it with your favourite accessories too, bringing personality and elegance.

We love the design by Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, Monique Thuiller, Lazaro, Marchesa and many others, they are soft and delicious while adding volume and drama.

Wheter in watercolours, whites or ivory the style it gives is definitely amazing. Maxi, light,  soft and sexy, voluminous and… perfect with a bustier.

It will seem like it has just been borrowed from a ballet or an opera. Romantic, light, soft, rich, and never boring!

You can choose to be more romantic and rich, or sophisticated and minimal like the ones designed by Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier

Or why not plying with colours, we love this pastel version by Oscar de la Renta.

Whatever you choose, go with your personality and add some details to give it more character; the result will be unique.

Half movie, half musical is the story of a bride trying to find her father with ABBA’s soundtrack all over the movie!

What happens when two best friends schedule their respective weddings on the same day?

It’s war!!!

The plot centers on Annie, who suffers a series of misfortunes after being asked to serve as maid of honor             for her best friend Lillian.

One year after meeting, Tom proposes to his girlfriend, Violet, but they find their wedding plans interrupted by a number of disappointments and surprises over the course of five years…

Wedding Movies part 1

The first movie I saw with a wedding in its plot it’s a movie from 1987: “The Princess bride” by Rob Reiner.

A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, a handsome guy  and some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).

It will always be one of my favorite fantasy movie.

How not to talk about Julia Roberts starring in “Runaway bride” and “My best friend’ wedding”?

I think every girl saw these movies…

One of the most funny I have ever seen is “My big fat greek wedding”.

But it’s not all about just having fun…

This movie is about heritage and cultural identity, it’s the story of a Greek woman who falls in love with a         non-Greek and struggles to get her family to accept him.
