Tulip secret garden

What can you discover while walking in a park in the Netherlands? … a secret Garden of Tulips of course… Oh ! And the scent of spring all around. I can’t explain why but tulips make me happy! So bright and colourful, they always place a smile on my face! I have found this secret garden and its space was divided into colours and type. Yellow and pink, red and purple, light pink and bright pink. I thought immediately that tulips are beautiful but how wonderful would be to divide them into colours and create a table colour palette divided into nouances ? Imagine a long table with tulips as centerpieces starting from nouances of strong red colour ending with light pink. A lively Dutch Tulip field as wedding table!

Tickled for Pink?

Images from narrowfabrics, glitter and roses, I do Inspiration

Tickled for Pink?… You’re in Luck!

Blush Pink is on the colour forecast for Spring 2012. Blush pink tones down the passion of red and combines with the purity of white. It reminds us of the romance associated with the blushing of a young brides cheeks.

At the market: inspirational details

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

While Clara is in Bali capturing inspiring decorations ( between a surfing lesson and a very good coffee!) I am wandering around the city. Last weekend I was tremendously inspired  by some really good news.

The first news is that an interior stylist will feature my house! She will style inside my place! She visited me last week, and she found my house filled with inspirations, she said! Those images will then be published in a famous magazine! The appointment is for the 12th of January! I can’t wait…stay tuned!

The second news is that I have finally received my new PINK chair. A Parisian chaise which I bought from an antique shop. I had been staring at it for months and months, I had been visiting the shop so many times looking at it and dreaming of it! I was captured by its colour and the ” capitonee” style…then I made up my mind… I WANT IT-I AM BUYING IT! It has such a STRONG character!  She, Madame Chair, is now possessing my living room, adapting in it and cuddling in it, like a baby inside their mum’s belly!

The third good news is that I have found some cool objects to buy for our wedding decoration stock!

Here are some shots of the market’s founds …. and an image of the arrogant piece of furniture :)

Bali Bliss

Finally in Bali! What do you think we all wanted to do as soon as we grabbed our rental car? Go for a coffee of course! We opted for a relaxing brunchy style coffee at the Bali Cafe’…smashing setting with a superb attention to detail. Everything looked perfect, the flowers on the table, the white chairs, the pinky velvet cushions, the shabby granola bowls, the cane sugar in mint cups with painted flowers…and I could go on forever. How come that I find all this in Indonesia and I struggle to find it in Italy…the soi-disant “patria del design”? Mhmm, I am astoned.

A stunning wedding dress

White, ivory, satin, silk and lace… normally these are the colours and materials used for wedding dresses. But who said that a wedding dress cannot be pink and made of wool? Here is the best example! I’m totally in love with this romantic wedding dress by Jemma Sykes. It’s called ‘The Elizabeth’, and it was designed and hand-knitted by Jemma Sykes for Butcher Couture. The dress is made from 100% certified organic wool and dyed naturally in soft pink. How much work behind a dress that looks like an artwork!

A ballet wedding: do you love to dance?

When I was little, I used to take ballet classes and I dreamt of become a famous etoille. Now I am a wedding planner but I can keep dreaming…and I can play with my past and mix it with my present. To remind me of what I could have become if I had kept up with those hard lessons and tough exercises, I have surfed the net for images that represent a ballet wedding. I have found a wonderful shoot by Jessica Claire, a fantastic photographer from LA, that reflects exactly what I had in mind. I am therefore featuring here a few of those images and I would like to compliment myself with La Fleur Weddings for the styling. I am also enclosing a couple of additional ideas…enjoy!

Floating wedding dress

Images by Olivia Gird

I have always been fascinated by floating fabric; since when I was a little girl I used to love immersing dresses inside our home bathtub and pull them here and there, from left to right, right to left, under the water. I loved the silky look they took when touching the water. Years later in high school studying history of art, Ophelia became one of my favourite paintings. Again, later on, flicking through Elle magazine, I read about a photographer who captures women inside a pool, covered with flowers! I adore this concept! Looking back I have realized that I just love the idea of dresses combined with under water photography.

And today I have found a fabulous photgrapher whose delicacy and softness caught my eyes!

I am aware that asking  a bride to pose underwater with her wedding gown, is not a simple task ( the price you paid for  of the gown too often would make you think twice…if you are not a good breath keeper either, this could also be a reason :) ), but I would love to see more pictures of all my brides after their wedding, at least in one image  like those shots here.

They call it ” trash the dress”, I would simply call it ” Relax with your dress”

Pearls and roses for a romantic wedding

Image by A picture life Photography

Looking at these pictures by A picture life photography, I can’t stop thinking of a romantic wedding taking place in the late afternoon. When the sun sets and the candles light up.. when the air is fresher and smells like roses, what a wonderful dream wedding for brides who love to be romantic and slightly vintage.. This would be the perfect setting for their day! A soft, bucolic and garden-inspired wedding with a colour palette that includes shades of blush pink. LOVE IT!! Antique lace, roses and pearls will give a vintage touch to the table setting. You could also use tulips or lisianthus, mixing them with candles, white votives or small transparent vases nestled on a bed of rose petals … simply beautiful!
