Today I would like to share these beautiful images of this inspirational Sicilian wedding. I hope that all our brides feel inspired from those asking us to organise a southern wedding between the olive grove, the panama hats and the old style chignons!

I’ve never thought about bringing my dogs at my wedding (if I ever get married) but I think it would be lovely to have my little family with me… :)
During last years, bringing pets to weddings has become very common. People bring their horses, cats, dogs, goats and even owls and snakes to their wedding. Anyway dogs are the most common at all!

A vintage mood for this event organised in the wonderful Borgo di Stomennano in Tuscany. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to capture many images, we were working very hard on that day and there was not enough time…
The venue was decorated with blue items, dark blue flowers, soft pink, romantic touches and many vintage details which have been captured from another photographer…. more to come of course…stay tuned!

It’s all too easy to be inspired by the glitz and glamour of Old Hollywood. But the gossip magazine scandals and high profile divorce cases make it much harder to find movie star role models for happy marriage – not to mention understated, sincere weddings!
But here’s one beautiful exception. In 1945, Lauren Bacall married Humphrey Bogart in a small, intimate ceremony at a friend’s country home. They remained very much in love until Bogart’s illness and death in 1957.

I have always been incredibly moved by this beautiful quote from Lauren Bacall, describing her wedding day – the perfect inspiration for your own speech, perhaps:
“It was all clear blue sky all the way – as I was sure our life would be. I couldn’t forget Bogie’s tears. Every time I looked at him I welled up. How had I lived before him? I couldn’t remember my life before him – it all ran together, like watercolors. It seemed that everything that had ever happened to me had led to this day with him. I don’t know whether it was his particular personality, his strength and purity of thought, or whether all brides feel that way. Probably a combination. I had no doubt that this happiness would last forever. I could not imagine living a minute without him. From now on I would not have to – we were together now, like the man said, ’till death do you part.’”

Serious, too serious, photoshoot in London ( I look like a grandma, with that hairstyle! Awful!)
Another year has passed and so many things have occurred in our lives.
It has been a year of changes, developments, success, creativity, tears, laughs, love…Friendship and honesty, most of all, between Clara and myself, towards our work and our projects, Chicweddings and Weddingdesignanarchy, our clients and our fears, our shortcomings and our ” on top of the mountain” moments! Freezing cold March afternoons attending photo shoots, and hot sticky summer days decorating tables and trees. Travelling through Italy and other foreign countries, sometimes with our little sweet crazy mascotte, Zoe, and our families, always with our Mac Books packed with informations (whispering “please don’t crash, don’t crash!”) together with our fabulous interns, our special partners, our talented contributors: our outstanding team…THIS IS OUR LOVE!
Here is a small glimpse of what we have done, what has happened in our lives…
We made it! And we keep going…more committed than ever..with so many new ideas for 2012…
