YESSSS, I took my first ever surfing lesson today and I was totally INSPIRED. I loved it and even managed to stand on the board for quite a bit of time while attempting to catch the wave. I could not believe my own eyes…I do have some sense of balance left within my post-birth unfit body. Anyway, you would not imagine how many unexpected wedding related hints I bumped into throughout my day. First of all…while I was waiting for my (super-fit) Balinese surf teacher, a Balinese couple that had just gotten married stopped in front of me for a post-ceremony photo shoot (see some images below). Then I went for a quick coffee at Deus Ex Machina (surfers and bikers paradise) and bam…I see a copy of Dream Wedding Bali Style mag. Well, now I can’t stop thinking about an inspired surf/bike wedding in Bali. Here are a few images of what grabbed my attention…

Finally in Bali! What do you think we all wanted to do as soon as we grabbed our rental car? Go for a coffee of course! We opted for a relaxing brunchy style coffee at the Bali Cafe’…smashing setting with a superb attention to detail. Everything looked perfect, the flowers on the table, the white chairs, the pinky velvet cushions, the shabby granola bowls, the cane sugar in mint cups with painted flowers…and I could go on forever. How come that I find all this in Indonesia and I struggle to find it in Italy…the soi-disant “patria del design”? Mhmm, I am astoned.

Yesssss! We have finally arrived in Bali and we have so much to tell already..BUT…before even starting, we cannot avoid saying a few words about our stop over in Singapore. Leave out the Safari, the Zoo, Little India, the Arab Quarter, Orchard Street, etc..there are three things you really should not miss.

Here I am with another unconventional idea for your honeymoon. If you are getting married in Italy, I would highly recommend that you hire a car and travel around this gorgeous country before heading back home. There are plenty of stunning, extremely romantic villages to discover and enjoy. If you are looking for a very peaceful paradise, a place with a touch of spiritualism where you can meditate about your new life as a married couple, then Matera might be your ideal destination. Protected by Unesco, this mystic town in Basilicata has gained international fame for its ancient distric called the “Sassi di Matera” (meaning “stones of Matera”), which is suspected to be one of the first human settlements in Italy.
As you know, we are always supporting style and glamour…therefore even in this remote part of the boot, we are recommending a very special venue for your stay: Le Grotte della Civita ♥ Read more and view more photos

Bored of the luxury cottage in the Maldives? I would be! We chose Burma for our honeymoon, where we enjoyed two wonderful weeks travelling around the country and sleeping in cute, but certainly not fancy, hotels. It was simply great! My initial idea was actually to take a couple of months off volunteering in an animal camp in Namibia but then we realised that the time at our disposal was much shorter and had to re-plan the whole trip. For those of you who are keen to give back or that are looking for a more exciting experience, I suggest to surf the net as there are plenty of interesting options. I am listing here just a few to get your research going…Original Volunteers … Biosphere Expeditions … Earthwatch.
