Wedding make up trends for 2013

Often the first thing that comes to mind for a bride is the dress: long, short, white, coloured, lace, muslin? Hard choice.

But brides should never forget make up and hair, which require a long preparation (months before to detox and have beautiful and radiant skin and hair!).

Let’s see some of the trends for this upcoming Spring Summer 2013:

ALL GLOW SKIN

Definitely a must for this season, forget the old matte – effect: this Spring Summer the base for a stylish makeup will be a glowy and radiant skin, where beauty meets a natural, effortlessy look.

COPPER TOP

A colour suitable for blondies, red – heads and for brunettes, copper gives a 60s look with a modern twist.

RED LIPS

Oh yes. They might leave the trends’ section for a season, but they will be back the following one. The shade may vary – coral, burgundy, Valentino red  and many others – but still red.

For this Spring summer we particularly like the coral tone.

UNDER – EYE EYELINER

After fighting for many years against under eye puffiness, heres a new way to cover It!

For this season the eyeliner goes upside down and we like It  under the eye, preferably with the top lash bare, creating a very chic smokey… under eye!

Wedding styles – Brides have fallen for lace

From sweet veils to romantic gowns, and vintage decors: brides have fallen for lace!

Every Winter and Spring, metres of beautiful lace make an appearance on the catwalks of the world.

It  has been popular for over a hundred years, but never that glamorous. It is definitely trendy to say I DO with some lace on!

Romantic, sexy, classic, sophisticated, vintage or baby. Chantilly, macramé, rebrodé, in white and ivory with a pastel touch. Ornate and delicate: designers definitely know that lace is the perfect feminine touch.

Also very versatile, whilst lace is romantic in style, it can easily surprise you and turn into a something new.

Carefully mixed to make sure its not too much but also not to minimal. Choose soft colours, more towards pastels or vintage palette, like greens for more nostalgic themes or pinks and greys to evoke a vintage theme.

A very delicate and almost baby looking style this version from Chanel, sexy and romantic the one on the left by Valentino.

LACE IS ALSO the perfect choice for a vintage wedding DÉCOR: our brides know that we love it!

We love these lace table runner for your reception.

With Flowers you should go for very soft colours selection of wild flowers to reflect your theme. Consider using baby’s breath, orange blossoms, hydrangea, for example, and why not some fruit for an extra touch.

J’adore Dior! Ever since I saw these amazing rings in the store window on the Via dei Condotti in Rome, I’ve been obsessed! I love the combination of the luxurious gem stones and the quirky, kitsch details, like the enamel ladybirds and daisies.

This cute, almost antique design, bursting with colour, has inspired all kinds of one-of-a-kind wedding accessories…

Beauty in Tradition

Via Be Blushless

Henna tattoos are a long sought after art, and an ancient tradition. It is so facinating how intricate, beautiful, and detailed these pieces of art really are. A beautiful work of henna does more than any dress ever could. It ads design in the areas that are otherwise ignored, and compliments any wedding dress.Traditionally Henna would accompany an Indian wedding gown. However, there are many different variations, and brides all over the world are adopting this loved tradition.

The Roaring 20′s, New York engagement shoot

Images by Photomuse

Have you ever wanted  your engagement shoot to be different, with a touch of charm and new ideas?

What more unthinkable than an old subway car, down under the darkest side of the city of New York?  This is what Photomuse captured with the help of Jacqueline Weppner of Merci NY who styled the photo session and… look at the beauty of the images. An engagement shoot doesn’t necessarily have to be outside in a country field, or  indoor  in a Villa. Industrial architecture, old factories and even old transport stations can be the perfect spot to capture your pre wedding shots.

I am dreaming of organising my next wedding inside an old train with a Roaring 20′s theme..I am thinking of the Cotton Club, old jazz players, feathers and hats,  and the politically not correct smoky clouds… of cigarettes! :)

Considering a wedding make up?

Images from Francesca Sattin‘s website

…then it comes the time when you need to decide which kind of make up you would like to have on your wedding day.

Make up  is in vogue again! And we love it! Last year trends have proposed colourful eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks and  sexy smoky eyes.

Julianne Moore in “A Single man” was wearing a 60’s style make up which has been copied by many young girls; a perfect make up for their nights out with friends.

When it comes to decide which kind of make up a bride should wear, I always suggest to hire a make up stylist if you want to dare, if you would like to be a different you for one day, if you are dreaming of those wonderful smoky eyes seen on the magazines, or if for one day, you would love long fake eyelashes, or attractive lips.

Here are some ideas for all the girls who would like to wear make up, but don’t know how or which style to choose.
