Did you ever worried about what will happen, at your wedding reception, while you are gone for sometime to take pictures and pose nicely ? Oh my gosh, what will my guests do? Will they be bored, will the music selection be right, will they just wait for me to come back before sitting at dinner table and finally have some food?
What, what, what??? Well, here’s the trick. Give them a game to play and they will love it!
This is a small game, where your guests can fill out the words on one side and insert them later on the other side. Every guest, and yourself too, will have a blast when, later in the day, or after a few weeks, you will read out those funny stories. No cheating though… everything has to be spontaneous and it is not allowed to sneak over the other side of the page.
The girls of Sugar and Cloth have created a nice way to entertain your guest meanwhile you are somewhere else.
You can download the files here and read the instructions below; text is taken from Lovewedbliss website:
1 | Choose whether you want to have a blank heading for your own stamp, or if you like the design shown, then download & save the front & back of the guest lib by clicking the corresponding button above.
2 | Print the front design onto 5 x 7 card stock, and then flipping the card stock over to print the back. If you’ve chosen to print the design shown, there is a customizable box where you can insert your own wedding date on the heart before printing!
3 | Put a finished guest lib at each place setting with a small pencil, or you can have your guests pick one up on the way to the party.
Have fun!!!

It’s an obsession that is sweeping the nation. It’s a trend, that is covering the world. It’s a brilliant idea that has entrigued the hearts of many, and of mine. It is the Photo Booth Phenomenon!
Weddings far and wide have guests lining up to take a quick photo shoot for the bride a groom. Bride and grooms alike are enjoying getting these images printed and viewing pictures of all their happy guests. Photo booths are a great accessory for those who are camera shy. As they can have privacy, and when left with props and hats, who knows what will be seen on those photos!

Wedding design anarchy is supporting this fantastic initiative from a colleague of ours.
Read the instructions and …if you find a small message on the street, it means that you have contributed as well to this funny, caring and loving campaign before Xmas!
From the author of the campaign:
” Christmas is around the corner, and this should be a time of cheers, smiles, cuddles, love thy neighbor and so on, right? Well then, why don’t we all leave a positive message in the most unexpected places, in unexpected ways, and just surprise thy neighbor? If worse comes to worse, we would have just wasted one minute of our time…but surely made someone smile.
How does “leaveamessage” work?
1. Take any blank slip of paper or card, or just download the one below:
HERE
2. Write a nice sentence on it, something you would like to read, for example. It can be an invitation to look at the bright side of life, a saying, a quote, even a forecast (a positive one, otherwise it doesn’t count! Not like Woody Allen: “You will meet your dream man”. Ha ha ha), or an invitation to make something good…whatever you like.
3. At this point, leave the message in places where it can be easily found ad read: a bus’ seat, the underground, a book in the library, a car’s screen wipes, a door, the mailbox, the gym locker, etc.
4. Now comes the best part. How would you know if your message had been found and read? Well, perhaps you’ll never know. Or perhaps you will, if you tweet or write on Facebook where you hid it adding the hashtag #leaveamessage and the name of your city. For example, I could write “Fitness Gym, Ladies Changing Room, Locker 23. #leaveamessage #rome”. You can even take a picture of the accomplished ‘mischief’ if you want! :)
5. When? The #leaveamessage day is Wednesday 14 December! This is the day when, if you feel like it, you could spread your positive message in the countdown to Christmas.
6. What’s in for you? Hum, let me think…nothing. There’s no sponsorship of any sort behind this idea, it is just something that popped into my head, so I spoke to other blogger friends and we decided to support it together.
7. When you have left your message, please send me an email with what you wrote. Everything will be published on a PAGE DEDICATED TO #LEAVEAMESSAGE.
We will obviously be very happy if you wanted to share this post on every social network: the more we are, the more #leaveamessage will have its sense and value.”
We are so happy to support this that we can’t wait to leave a message!
Have fun!

Yesterday I went to see the Pink Martini live in concert at the Royal Albert Hall: WOW! I just need two words to decribe their performance: LOVE and LAUGH. They are full of energy, passion and are extremely good to pass their emotions onto the audience, making you feel truly alive. When you are there you forget about your problems, you leave aside your stress, you loose yourself in the rythm and start dancing with your feet while a smile appears on your face.

It does not matter if you are planning to show an old movie, your baby pictures or a video of your first holiday together, what’s important is how you do it! Imagine a few trendy sunloungers, cushions scattered on the grass, colourful blankets and hammocks between trees…a few wooden boxes with popcorns and nuts, trays with ice cold beer and cokes, scented candles, paper lanterns hanging from branches…a white sheet and an old projector. Nothing more, nothing less..isn’t this a good way to enhance that special moment which is usually a bit too corporate-like? ♥ Read more and view more photos

Are you planning an outdoor wedding? Mood lights can accentuate all the beauty of your special day! Here are a few things that are aimed at boosting the magic effect. If you want to add a touch of style you can choose torches or create an intimate decor with an aisle of candles. But there are many more ideas to choose from: dramatic sculptural light pieces, ethereal floating lights, small lantern table centerpieces, Japanese paper lanterns strung over the top of the dining area and on the dance floor…or candle bags … they are perfect for any outdoor evening event, from weddings to barbeques!! A fabulous activity for a waterside wedding would be to organise some form of nostalgic entertainment related to lost loved ones. Guests could be invited to write about their loved ones on floating lanterns before letting them go on the water. It will add a magical atmosphere to the party! Another lovely lighting touch is the use of sky lanterns which look incredible en masse… Sky lanterns are traditionally used in Asian festivals where the rise of the lantern symbolises their troubles and woes floating away to be replaced with good luck and fortune in the future. The flame lit underneath provides the uplift using the same principle as a hot air balloon to float the lanterns into the sky on a calm dark evening for a dramatic display….So would you like to light up your wedding in one of these ways?

In life there are old and new friends, but only some of them are forever. When choosing your bridesmaids it has to be someone who really loves you and is keen to share this important day with you. The friends who have always been there with a shoulder ready to lean on… those you have shared the best moments and had so much fun with. Looking at these pictures I can’t stop to admire these bridesmaids’ bright eyes and dazzling smiles. You can feel their happiness and the complicity that binds them all together. You can see how relaxed the bride is, having around her lover and her best friends. Real authentic fun!
Today, tomorrow and forever, bridesmaids are the girls that help you through your Wedding day and that will always help you in life.

When thinking of which location to choose for your wedding day, you may like to consider as well which transportation you would like to provide to reach the destination. If taxis or private cars are not available, friends and family will enjoy a tour on a British bus, or a cool boat to reach the wedding venue.
If you wish to dare and to kick everyone’s spirit ( don’t do this on hot summer days!) you could hire many bicycles and enjoy a ride all together; while in Italy instead, you may like to consider some vintage vespas, or some cool Riva speed boats, such a 60′s mood!
For the sportive couples and the lovers of speed, I like the idea of an old Porsche 911, my favourite! I imagine a bride and a groom driving in style up and down the Tuscan hills, attracting the gaze of their guests and passers by with this beautiful vintage never passe’ car.

OMG, today I was surfing around and look what I have discovered! I absolutely had to share this!
How warm is the background sound of an old gramophone? Romantic record players for old time lovers of smoky atmospheres mixed with a feeling of the 30s.
Matt Jones and Kate Wright are two enthusiastic Gramophone Djs! They can play at wedding receptions and parties, bringing with them their fantastic players and their records. Their music is a mix between the 20s and the 30s but they can play any type of sound you ask them!
I love their ideas and I love the fact that their gramophones have played music for such a long time, delivering great music throughout all these years. Listen to their songs, they will make you forget about your modern Ipod and go back in time!
