According to fashion magazines and latest trends Emerald Green seems to be the colour of the year.
You can believe it or not, but actually there is a special reason for that: Pantone. This company is perhaps the icon of colours and it is they who get to choose the color that the entire world-wide fashion and design industry follow to set collections and trends.
Most of the trend watchers thought the deep ocean Monaco Blue, would have been the choice instead this year. But not at all, Pantone went for the green Emerald. So should we all say thanks to Pantone for this?
Anyway, decorating in 2013 is definitely going to be fun for lovers of green, and we are happy with that!

We’ve loved it so much since it made his apparence at the Wonderful World of Oz and named Emerald.
It immediately brings to mind precious gems, plus it is sophisticated and luxurious, it has a touch of vintage and it is timeless..
It seems like some colors have more staying power than others and this is the case with Emerald, as over the seasons, it is still up to the best choice.
Green is definitely a must in fashion collections, including wedding trends and home collections.

So whats the reason for that? According to Pantone press release, the official reason for choosing Emerald, Pantone 17-5641, is it “enhances our sense of well-being further by inspiring insight, as well as promoting balance and harmony,”
We must add: it is chic and sopisticated and almost perfect for any scheme. So yes, we can can imagine why our clients choose this pallette for their wedding day. Perhaps, small details, like green heels, or a green tie, or what about a green cake? .. We have choosen some images for you. Truly unique!

The Emerald is definitely chic and relaxing. On top of that this colour is thought to possess powers of luck and hope.
We think that, with so much beauty and green around us 2013 must surely be full of luck.

THIS YEAR, Tiffany and Co. celebrates its 175th anniversary. Tiffany and Young was founded in 1837 as a stationery emporium in New York City. In 1940, Tiffany moved to the current location on Fifth Avenue and focused on jewellery.
It has been long time since the original store opened and from then on the link between Tiffany’s brand and the colour became stronger and stronger. Nothing more than this brand with its classic Blue Box symbolises a company and a style.
Light medium robin egg blue color (Tiffany Blue is the colloquial name) is produced as a private custom colour by Pantone, with PMS number 1837- the year when Tiffany’s was founded.

Turquoise was a favourite of Victorian brides.Very simple and elegant, soft and sweet, it is almost perfect for weddings.
AS A BRIDE, you can play with the blue palette, and make turquoise your own, but if you are not a “Tiffany Bride”, you can still use the blue color in your clothes and decor.
WHETHER it is light or bright, the timeless style of this colour means the result will be chic and stylish.

Today I am captured by millions of shades as the sun is shining here in Italy. Finally thousands of shades of colours are reflecting in the sky, the summer sunsets are almost here.
Looking at this masterpiece of mother nature, I start surfing for shaded colour tables and look what I have found! I love this! Great idea for a small table, or even better starting from the middle, Bride and Groom seats, towards the end, left and right. Imagine… pictures should be, then, taken from the top but a similar effect wouldn’t that be beautiful?
Of course all this should be complimented with a wedding cake, and a dress, and a wedding aisle…
Here some inspirations!

You could even bring the baked-goods love to your wedding favors, too. The amazing Amanda Cupcake is a cake genius, and her creations are always dripping in sparkles and high fashion! Even better, she can whip up your very own customized cupcakes, inspired by everything from Lucille Ball to the Big Lebowski!

And take it from me – her unique ‘cupcake kaleidoscopes’ [delicious layers of Technicolor-sponge cake, sprinkles and edible glitter sandwiched into a glass jar] will keep even the most hard-to-please wedding guest happy!

From Cupcakes to Champagne, this year’s Designer Wedding Show was to inspirational!
There are many booths that made an imprint on me from this show. The show offered a wide rage of wonderful live music, great Save-The-Date ideas, venues, accessories, innovative photographers, dresses, hats, dessert, caterers and tips to staying organised during the Wedding Planning process. It created so many new ideas.
After we had spent most of the day conversing with people and sharing our ideas of Wedding Planning, we spent a few minutes posing for the camera in a Photobooth (which was a great keepsake from the day). My highlight had to be of course, the Designer Fashion Show.
Matthew Williamson showed us some great gowns for this upcoming season.

Who can resist a scrumptious, melt-in-the-mouth macaron? Designers this season certainly can’t! The creative duo behind the label Preen have confessed to using the sugary, pastel shades of these sweets as inspiration for their Spring/Summer 2012 collection, and they’re not the only ones…!

RUSTIC…
Being it a rustic, romantic, sleek or 50s dessert table..the style doesn’t really matter as long as the patisserie is top class and is beautifully displayed. Your guests will eat everything with their eyes before even taste the delicacies you are offering them. Slurp! Let’s drop the traditional tiered cake that many friends might not like..yes it does look great but how many slices do really end up in the guests’ bellies? When you attend your next wedding look out for abandoned plates with half eaten wedding cakes…you will have to bring a calculator along or you will loose track! I am a fan of dessert tables as they offer a variety of sweets for every palate and can satisty even the most demanding relative. Guests can pick a small chocolate truffle or a big pavlova…depending on how much weight they don’t mind putting on!

Wood slabs, butterflies, rocks, hedgehogs are perfect for the autumn season… but what about mushrooms? If you are organising an outdoor wedding for this autumn, here are some ideas for you! The woodland theme is very popular at the moment so it was fun to have so many inspiring parties as reference points. I like the idea of adding mushrooms to your decoration, whether you opted for a quirky wedding or an event with a rustic feel. You can in fact choose between fairy tale-like red & white mushrooms or the more realistic brown ones, and they will all be so cute if used in boutonnieres, bouquets and centrepieces! And for the cake and candy bar corner… lots of other interesting ideas are waiting for you!

On your wedding day, you will surround yourself with the women you love: your sisters, best friends, mothers, cousins or other women that mean a lot to you. It is a lovely tradition to present your bridesmaids with small gifts or tokens of your appreciation for coming to your wedding and helping you celebrate. Here are some great bridesmaid gift ideas. Vintage spools wrapped in cream fabric, tied with ribbon and adorned with an old fashioned forget-me-not flower. The spool unwraps will reveal a secret message hand stamped inside: ‘will you be my bridesmaid?’ Or, what about sending a “wedding´s instructions kit”? I love the idea of using unfinished cigar boxes, then paint and embellish them as you prefer. In the boxes you can send all the details about the wedding day and place photos of an inspiration board and pieces of fabric to showcase your colour scheme. This is such a fun and unique way of asking your favourite ladies to be part of your special day!!
