I really like the concept of Charlie’s Missus photography for this tablescape. The shots recall a mix of vintage, whimsical, rustic atmosphere surrounded by lace and wood. Fabulous inspiration for a timeless wedding! I love raffia, I love the centerpieces with old books, pieces of wood with moss on top, and old reused jam jars for candles… and the best.. those mix-match bottles used as flowers vases floating in the air… For the vintage touch, nothing simpler than a white lace tablecloth.. then raffia, moss and seasonal flowers are perfect to create the “woodland” atmosphere! Not too vintage, not too rustic.. simply wonderful! How cute are the bride and groom placecards too! You can use an authentic piece of wood where you can carve the couple’s names …or a phrase… your oath of eternal love!

Today I came across this fabulous photo shoot for the new campaign of Pom Pom Factory by Karen Hsu. Using simple materials, Karen brings a personal and handmade touch to her work, giving each creation a freshness and poetic individuality. I was dreaming of bringing the same freshness and poetry to a wedding…why not? Pom poms can be hanged on trees or tied to strings to fill up a room, left floating in the air, used as centerpieces or as tea lights… or even as tiny confetti to throw after the ceremony…So cute!! For a really nice effect you should use thousand of pom poms in different colours and size or…just in the shade that matches your colour scheme! They are a really cheap and chic DIY item! So… Let’s be crafty and creative!

As a wedding planner, one of the first question that I ask to the couple is “Have you chosen a colour scheme?”. I think that it should be one of the first things to decide. But sometimes it is not so easy to pick your favourite colour!! Therefore, for those couples who are not really sure about using just one colour through all the wedding: why don’t you opt for a multi-colour palette?? This is for the fun-loving and carefree couples who aren’t afraid of letting their inner child shine through! I love the bright and beautiful multi-colour setting in the pictures below, perfect for an outdoor wedding! Obviously you have to combine your rainbow scheme with plain and neutral details too. Try to keep the table natural with a plain tablecloth or small mats mixed with bright decor, lots of colourful flowers, multi pattern cutlery and napkins! This will add a fun and youthful feeling to the event.

The ‘Just Married’ sign is something that should not be forgotten! I remember as a nightmare when the traditional wedding getaway car was decorated with shaving cream, old shoes, wrapping paper, and anything else those rakish groomsmen could find… I have seen many brides who didn’t like that “idea/surprise” at the end of the ceremony! But…you can now still tell everybody that you have just got married by personalising your car with a chic touch!! People on the street will smile at you and will clap their hands cheering … you will love it! A sign reading ‘Just married’ with ribbons, flowers, pompoms or white balloons to personalise your transportation and make a statement! Here are some ideas for your car, bike or for any other transportation you are using for the day!

I know, I know ! The summer season is not over yet but I am already imagining how to decorate an autumn wedding! I have once seen a wonderful decoration made of purple anemones, moss and mushrooms and I loved it. I imagined then a sort of fairytale table decorated with white dotted mushrooms ( very poisonous!), champignons and flowers. It looked like an image from the woods, a magic, whimsical decoration.
In order to create a DIY wedding decor like this, you will need a piece of tree, which can be sawed and cut at different heights. Small holes need to be drilled into the wood, you should put a bit of glue and insert a pin lined up, as in the images below. You can lay some moss on the wood surface and place the mushrooms on the pin. In order to give a more natural look, you would need to play with different angles so the mushrooms look like they are growing in different directions….voila’, your decoration is done! And how original, how beautiful!!!

Today I’m thinking about rose bushes, wrought iron garden furniture, chaise longues with archive patterned drapes, baskets and vases overflowing with romantic flowers..throws and cushions …. I´m thinking about a wedding with a lounge area where your guests can sneak off for a chat and relax with a friend while the dance floor is thumping..
At an outdoor wedding, cushions are a must !!! With a world of fabric colors, patterns and textures, there is no reason not to have them at your reception. You can customise them as you wish according with the colour scheme of the day and the mood of the event. Modern or vintage cushions, big and with different shapes or small and soft.. Either way your guests will appreciate them and relax on them.. and they will add a chic touch to your special day!

This morning a came across these beautiful bridal bouquets Japanese style inspired. Romantic, vintage, original, classic, modern.. Simply stunning!!
Japanese style contains clean lines, usually with the use of quieted colors and natural components. The goal is to minimize everything and allow these natural elements to shine. Using an unexpected color palette of pink, purple and gold paired with sweet Asian details.. Your bouquet will be a precious jewel to carry with you all day, like a secret amulet…!! Bouquets that you would not traditionally see but that can make a beautiful addition to your bridal outfit!
